AtoVproject - MMx2

Introducing our new Matrixable Mixer or MMx2.

Utilities are the key of unlocking your system and the MMx2 is a lot of utility! You literally get two modules in one box! Yes, this module is sold as a pair. You will understand why in just a minute.

We’ve been brainstorming on what sort of utilities we need the most and the answers were: CV mixer, attenuverters, signal amplification, offset generator and mult. The MMs can do all that.

The result is a seemingly simple 4 in 1 CV mixer with the AtoV twist that comes as a pack of two. These little mixers can be used individually and they can also be chained into a larger matrix mixer. The first 2 inputs are attenuated and the last 2 have attenuverters. These are all mixed together and the resulting mix is amplified by a factor of 1.8.

This allows for a world of new possibilities that will open your system and unlock creative new sonic possibilities.

From these innocuous tweaks on the CV mixer recipe, we’ve create devices that allow to distribute modulations, create mixers with sends, generate stereo effects, add side chain compression, create new filter types… and lots more!

We’ve been using little CV mixers in our systems and the matrixable function is something that we’ve been using for some time now. When we started working on the cLFO, we’ve realized the potential of this concept and decided to share it with the world.

To get you started with the advanced things that can be done with the MM, we’ve described a lot of patches in this manual and we can’t wait to see what crazy idea you will come up with.
